Karly is an active educator and musician in Southern Alberta. She has been an educator for 21 years working with the Rocky View School Division and the Lethbridge School Division. Karly is passionate about education, music – both as a conductor, teacher and musician - and her students. She has been involved in the planning and execution of three successful TedX events in Lethbridge, has served on the Artistic Development Committee for the Lethbridge Community Band Society, was the Co-Chair for the 2020 HPEC Conference, is a member of Phi Beta Mus, is a hornist with numerous ensembles and is currently the band director and educator at the middle school level. Karly’s passion for music education has been witnessed by many people in her community.  Pre-Covid, she was the director of 225 aspiring musicians and has seen her program flourish receiving awards for “Outstanding Performances” in the Stage Band, level 2 and level 3 band classes.
