Deirdre has been a member of Red Deer's Welcoming and Inclusive Communities Network (WIC) for three years and one of the two Co-Chairs for 2019. In the spring of 2019 she will be completing her Masters in Leadership and Sustainable Community Development. Deirdre has completed many training sessions on diversity and inclusivity; including two sessions from a partnership between Canadian Commission for UNESCO (CCUNESCO) and the Centre for the Prevention of Radicalization Leading to Violence (CPRLV). It is critical our front line educators are equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to prevent discrimination and radicalization leading to violence; Deirdre is excited to share the information and knowledge she has gained from these experiences.
