Your Partner in Young Worker Injury Prevention
Since 2011, Safety in Schools has provided more than 20,000 high school students across Alberta with access to free, online, industry-recognized workplace safety training.Our team is at the forefront of young worker safety, partnering with industry and training organizations and working directly with survivors of workplace injuries to develop and deliver eight original experience-focused programs since 2014, and reach more 8,000+ students with in-school presentations form injury survivors. This work continues with multiple online programs at various stages of development and planning in progress for another school speaking tour in Spring 2020. Educators attending this session will be the first to sneak a peek at upcoming program developments and provide insight on them through post-session surveys and optional focus group activities following the presentation. We recommend this session to anyone involved in career guidance, work experience, skilled trades or mental health.
