Post-Convention Event Survey
The program fosters the awareness, understanding, and commitment to work with Indigenous communities. To work towards ensuring that Truth is told, is heard and understood, and that Reconciliation ensues. The guidance and wisdom of an Indigenous Elder is available to program teachers and facilitators. Students spend time on the land and in class to learn about Indigenous history, cultural traditions and about ethical research. Students then choose a topic from their learnings and create an art piece to illustrate their understanding of that topic. A show of their art is held at the end of the school year.
