Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The video, which has received an award from the Association for Media and Technology in Education (AMTEC), is intended to educate young people about refugees, to help them to identify and understand the discrimination that refugees face, and the effect it has on them. Some of the biggest obstacles to acceptance - entrenched prejudices and discrimination are discussed. A Video User’s Guide and a Teacher’s Guide give educators background information on refugees and the refugee experience, on international laws which protect refugees and Canadian laws which protect everyone against discrimination. (Suitable for Grades 7 – 12)
